SBDC Counselor of the Year
Elizabeth is a business counselor for the Small Business Development Center at Del Mar College. Elizabeth has been awarded Business Counselor of the Year due to her commitment to providing small business owners with greater access to capital and opportunities. Elizabeth graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. She is now in her 15th year with the SBDC Network, and has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs, specializing in business and marketing plans. Over the years, her work for the SBDC has resulted in millions of dollars of impact for the Coastal Bend economy. This past year Elizabeth went the extra mile by also reaching out towards local veterans. She delivered small business management training seminars to approximately 200 retiring military attendees. The SBDC helps local small business owners by providing them with business workshops, a resource library, government contracting assistance, and by also providing free and confidential business counseling. Elizabeth’s genuine passion to see her clients succeed makes her great counselor and a true asset to the local small business community.
